Introduction to Google Apps (Material fee $5)
Technology is one of the most fundamental skill that all students need in order to be successful in the 21st century. Not only do students need to be proficient in the use of technology, they also need to learn ways to apply different applications for various assignments in school. In the Introduction to Google Apps class, students will learn how to use of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and identify the best application use for each specific tasks. Students will be working with Google Drive and applying different applications within its domains. They will be learning basic tasks, such as copying and pasting files and manipulating with images within the various Google programs. Upon the completion of the course, students will gain knowledge in the use of computers and applications, as well as the responsible use of technology and an understanding of ethics and safety issues in using electronic media, and demonstrate the ability to use technology for research and presentation. Students must have basic understanding on the use of technology. This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking and Personal and Social Institutional Level Outcomes.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Use a word processing application to write, edit, print and save simple assignments.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the spreadsheet as a tool to record, organize and graph information.
- Create, edit and format text on a slide, and create a series of slides and organize them to present an idea.
