The course of study in Computed Tomography (CT) is designed for experienced CT technologists and for other radiologic technologists (and soon to be technologists) who intend on developing a career in computed tomography.
The course provides a review of the three content areas covered on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination in CT (patient care, imaging procedures, and physics and instrumentation), as well as a mock examination that allows students to practice taking an ARRT-style examination. Students completing this course should be well prepared to take the ARRT examination in CT.
This course does notprovide clinical training or experience. Clinical experience is required to qualify for the ARRT examination in CT and must be completed prior to taking the examination. It is the student’s responsibility to secure a clinical training site to fulfill this requirement.
