Study Skills: How to Get an A 3rd - 5th Grade

Students focus on skills needed to be successful in class. Skill building activities will be used to improve student achievement in areas of organization, study routines, paragraph and report writing, collaboration, test taking and learning styles.  These skills will greatly enhance participant's success throughout their future academic career. It is a fun, fast-paced class designed to improve your study habits and boost your competitive edge. No experience necessary to be successful in this class. This course falls under the Communication and Critical Thinking Institutional Level Outcomes.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Identify planning tools and resources to establish academic goals
  • Define the study habits needed to improve comprehension of homework and or curriculum
  • Practice test-taking strategies to improve assessment results
