In this workshop, participants wil learn skills and strategies to deliver great classroom presentations. Shool-age children (Grades 3-7) will uncover the principles of public speaking through careful planning and practice. During the school year, students are usually asked to deliver a presentation as part of their coursework, and for many of us, giving a speech is more difficult than we would like to admit. This seminar will cover the principles of public speaking as well as strategies and practice for a great and stress-free presentation. The goal is to nurture on-going presentation skills and increase confidence in the students' ability to plan, deliver and speak confidently in front of their peers. During this workshop, students can bring current school presentation assignments, or supplemental materials will be provided to inspire creative ideas to produce your own and unique presentation. No previous experience is needed. Only a great attitude!
After taking class students will:
- Articulate key principles of public speaking
- Plan one school-assigned presentation/project or introductory speech
