Introduction to Coding for Kids 3rd - 5th Grade

Technology has influenced our lives tremendously, and students are so proficient with using these devices. So why not take the next step and learn how to code games that are played on these devices?  In the Introduction to Coding for Kids class, students will learn how to use blocks of code to go on an adventure through the Minecraft world, learn the basic concepts of Computer Science with drag and drop programming, and create their own interactive games, stories, animations and much more.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
Use a variety of age-appropriate technologies to communicate and exchange ideas.
Create projects that use coding and various forms of graphic, audio to communicate ideas.
Create their own interactive games, stories, and animations.
