Open Fitness Swim is a self-paced swimming program (no swim instruction is provided during these hours). Open fitness swimming provides pool time for individuals seeking to improve/maintain their swimming abilities as well as non-instructed lap swimming. For those interested in:
Casual lap swimming
Masters swimming
Swim training for the triathlete
Weight loss through water exercise
Low impact strength and endurance training
*Participants must be 14 years of age and older.
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcome (ILO).
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Enhance their swimming abilities through self-paced practice.
- Tailor their swimming practice to their specific fitness goals.
- Engage in lap swimming for health and fitness benefits.
