Prerequisite: A NON-EXPIRED American Heart Association BLS card must be brought to class.
This course meets medical related requirements. Covers adult, child and infant choking, heart attack, and stroke. 1 & 2 rescuer CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)/barrier devices. Students must bring the current textbook to class.
Who is this class for? This class is for anyone that needs to renew their BLS certification including Nurses, CNA’s, Psych Techs, etc.
Student Learning Outcomes • Correct hand placement for compressions for Adult/Child/Infant CPR • proper use for the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) machine • barrier devices to avoid cross contamination face shield, pocket masks and resuscitation bags •1 and 2 rescuer CPR.
Refund Policy: Students must arrive on time for the course. Late arrivals and/or students who do not complete the class will be dismissed without receiving a certificate or a refund. No refunds or transfers are permitted for CPR, First Aid, & Medical courses.
