Cross-Connection Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester

This course is designed to teach the student the theory behind backflow preventer design and operation and proficiency in testing backflow problems.  Its primary purpose is to prepare the student to take the American Water Works Association, California/Nevada Section, written and practical exams, the American Backflow Preventin Association (ABPA) written and practical exams and various country certification exams.  Definitions, the laws governing testers, types of backflow preventino assemblies and their application, degree of hazard, hydraulics and installation requirements will be covered.

There will be a wet lab for practical training and practice testing.  As the name implies, you WILL be in a wet environment.  Please dress accordingly on those nights  The wet lab is outdoors no matter the weather.

Please read:  You will need a binder or notebook to take notes.  You will need your own copy of the USC Manual referenced above.  you will need a flat-blade and phillips screwdriver for the wet lab.
