This exciting course gives students a chance to explore the world of design and turn their ideas into cool visuals! Through playful activities and hands-on projects, students will spark their imagination by experimenting with colors, shapes, and pictures and bring their unique ideas to life. Student will use design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, to create eye- catching posters and flyers. This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking, Information and Technology Literacy, and Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).

 
Upon completion students will:
  • Learn the step-by-step process designers use to make their graphic creations
  • Explore visual concepts, experiment with color and form, and express their ideas through graphic design elements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the iterative design process in creating a simple graphic design project
