Financial Literacy Workshops

This comprehensive financial education course series is designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve their financial goals, secure a prosperous future, and take control of their financial future. The concepts will equip you on your financial journey or enhance existing financial skills. This course covers essential concepts and strategies, including, increasing cash flow, debt management, emergency fund, proper protection, savings and wealth, asset accumulation strategies, retirement planning, health and wealth and estate preservation. Each student will receive a "Saving Your Future" textbook and a "Financial Education” workbook that coincide with the workshops. The course series consists of six workshops that must be taken in the following order: 
 
    1. Building Savings and Wealth
    2. Increase Cash Flow & Manage Debt
    3. Preparing with Proper Protection
    4. Your Health & Wealth
    5. Understanding Asset Accumulation Strategies
    6. Fulfilling Long-Term Goals
 
This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking, IT Literacy, and Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs). 

Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Understand concepts and strategies to enhance their financial capabilities.
  • Apply strategies to build savings and fulfill long-term goals.
  • Develop practical, personalized financial plans that can address savings, protection, asset accumulation, retirement, and estate preservation.
