Tap Fundamentals** - Grades 3-5

This class will introduce students on how to dance in the genre of Tap. The course is a basic introduction to Tap dance and will teach students basic tap steps and using rhythm. Students will need appropriate clothing such as comfortable clothing. Tap shoes (~$30-$40) are required. This course falls under the Communication and Personal and Social Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).  

Upon completion students will:
  • Demonstrate understanding of fundamental tap dance movements, like Flaps and Shuffles
  • Learn how to count music and rhythms
  • Memorize small dance combinations
