Administration of Physical Ability Test. Lectures and demonstrations will include the following topics; nutrition, safety, body mechanics, exercise guidelines and execution of fire related tasks. Successful completion of this course is required by various fire agencies for employment. Repeating this course will allow for renewal of certificate and improvement in proficiency.
This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking, and Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Use information from the course to improve and support their overall physical agility.
- Perform fire related tasks according to safety guidelines.
- Apply knowledge and techniques learned in the course towards potential employment with fire agencies.
