Transform your bath into a spa-like escape with handmade glycerin soaps! In this fun, hands-on class, you'll create a variety of soaps using colors, molds, fragrances, herbs, and more. Learn techniques for making natural, organic, or novelty soaps—perfect for gifts, décor, or sensitive skin. (Class is hands on; please dress accordingly.) 
 
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs). 
 
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Make chemical-free, herbal, and natural soap from scratch
  • Identify different types of soap bases, colors, scents, aromatherapy oils, and essential oils
  • Identify where to buy soap-making products
This class is conducted live online via Zoom. After registering, participants will receive a list of recommended supplies and ingredients to use during the session. You’ll be able to follow along step-by-step and complete your first sample by the end of class. Purchasing supplies in advance is suggested but not required.
