Learn to make soap from scratch using the cold process method! This hands-on class covers everything you need to create beautiful handmade soaps at home. Perfect for beginners and experienced soap makers alike. Dress accordingly and get ready for a fun, creative experience! (Class is hands-on; please dress accordingly.) **Students between 15-17 years of age must have a parent or guardian accompany them to class to sign a waiver form. Material Fee: $35 (Pay directly to instructor on first day of class.)
 
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs). 
 
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Make soap from scratch using different types of soap bases, colors, scents, aromatherapy oils and essential oils.
  • Make chemical-free, herbal, and natural soaps.
  • Locate and purchase soap-making products.
