Transform your bath into a spa-like escape with handmade glycerin soaps! In this fun, hands-on class, you'll create a variety of soaps using colors, molds, fragrances, herbs, and more. Learn techniques for making natural, organic, or novelty soaps—perfect for gifts, décor, or sensitive skin. (Class is hands-on; please dress accordingly.) **Students between 15-17 years of age must have a parent or guardian accompany them to class to sign a waiver form. Material Fee: $35 (Pay directly to instructor on first day of class.)
 
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs). 
 
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Make chemical-free, herbal, and natural soap from scratch
  • Identify different types of soap bases, colors, scents, aromatherapy oils, and essential oils
  • Identify where to buy soap-making products
