The Power of Electronics - Grades 3rd-5th

Students will explore the science and physics of what electricity is and how electricity can be used to power devices with common household items. This device is known as a simple circuit; students will have the opportunity to build and expand on what a circuit is. This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking, Information and Technology Literacy, and Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).
Upon completion students will:
  • Learn about circuits through the use of Arduinos
  • Develop a better understanding of electronics through various projects that incorporate the use of coding and/or programming
  • Construct various electronic projects
